Chefs Stage
We will be welcoming some of Britain’s favourite chefs including Lesley Waters and Carmela Hayes.

Lesley Water
Lesley Waters is well known for her cookery books, and television appearances on Ready Steady Cook (BBC), Great Food Live (UKTV), and This Morning (ITV) and The James Martin Saturday Show.

Carmela Hayes
Carmela is a passionate Italian cookery tutor specialising in pasta making, known as a pastaia. She is also an event planner, cookery demonstrator, recipe developer, food writer, supper club chef, and author of five cookbooks.

George Mcivor OBE
Congratulations to George McIvor, awarded an OBE for services to catering, tourism, and fundraising. He will be our compère on the Masterchefs Stage at Gatcombe Food Festival.

BBQ Ben
BBQ Ben, one of the UK’s top celebrity chefs and the first winner of Britain’s Best BBQ’er, will showcase Outback Barbecues on the Masterchefs Stage at Gatcombe Food Festival, 26th–27th July.
Bakers Stage
Our Bakers Stage will feature some of the TV’s best bakers and pastry chefs including Howard Middleton and Karen Wright from Great British Bake Off.

Howard Middleton
Howard Middleton, known from The Great British Bake Off Series 4, won fans with his quirky style, love of unusual ingredients, and bad luck—like the infamous ‘Custardgate.’ He now teaches, writes, and demonstrates nationwide.

Karen Wright
Karen Wright, a Great British Bake Off 2018 contestant, is known for her showstopping bakes and colourful personality. She now entertains at food festivals, writes a weekly column, and shares her passion for travel cooking.

Vernon Harwood
Our compère Vernon Harwood began his radio career young, later joining the BBC in the 1980s. A history buff and Beatles fan, he loves lemon meringue pie, old wireless sets, and second-hand bookshops.
